Surveyors.                                                                                                                                                                                                                  (1) Class inspectors who undertake the inspection of ships and the issue of class certificates of the ship.                                              (2) Persons recruited by a shipping organization or a company to inspect ships, cargoes, etc.                                                                  They may work on behalf of insurers, P + I Clubs, charterers, shippers, shipowners, banks and anyone with an interest in shipping.
